Artisans

The heart of HAPI is the group of artisans working to earn a just and fair wage. The majority of HAPI artisans had no regular income. Jobs are not available in a region where bartering in the normal form of commerce. HAPI provides safe, healthy, and just working conditions for the artisans, who create beautiful products to help support themselves and their families.

HAPI originally started with embroidery skills and now utilizes even more women in the community for their team processes in creating journals, purses, wallets and more. Purchasing local supplies when possible to help the Haitian economy even more. Others in the community are also able to clean, iron and delivery cement bags that are purchased and used in the journals. GREEN and clean are both things HAPI strives for in sustainable business.
